The day started real slow today...

Today's task, continue the project we were working on during the first two weeks of attachment...

How can I put it? Hmm... I don't like my job... haha... well... cos' for one, as a programmer, we have to think of ways to solve problems... and this problem... already started it's third week of progress... and we still cannot seem to get anywhere close to getting a proper solution to this problem... which is really frustrating... and secondly... in this line of games development... it is very uncertain that you have to work late or even overnight... so... yeah... already considering a change in career...

Last week wasn't that bad... what was done was mainly game testing... and man... was it boring... thankfully, we were only testing for three full days... and we were already bored... it was to a point where we could just put the device on the table, and let each round run till we need to put in our inputs... in that time, we were like facebooking or somethin'... cos' staring at the game screen was like... staring into the blank space already... after that, we had the task of testing the company's existing games on the new iPhone OS... to see if it was still compatible and could be played... that was pretty much last week...

Oh well... now is the time to rest... and... the agenda for tomorrow... same as today... cracking our heads and trying to solve this stupid solver... I wonder if it is possible for me... who doesn't know how to solve the puzzle itself... to make a solver for it.. oh well... GOD WILL MAKE A WAY AGAIN~

Yesterday...
morning... went to work... whole day playing the same game... thankfully got different levels... but somehow in the end the game was still more or less the same... by the late afternoon alrd super sleepy....

evening, went to far east shopping centre with rest of family... dined at Shashlik Restaurant... Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad! =)

NOW...
back in office... nothing much to do again... besides playing the game... AGAIN.... haha.... and we were told that today we might have to stay late... *hopes that doesn't happen* XD

went bowling... this time with zul... again... and ailing...haha... played 2 games, before going upstairs to play pool... surprisingly the place was pretty quiet... so we played... up till about 930 or so... when it was more crowded... we left...

was kinda fun... considering my boring morning at work... seriously... was doing nothing but facebooking almost the whole day... at least up till 3 plus when got some beta testing to do... haha...

I actually played the whole game on easy mode for like 2 solid hours before completing it can... lol... anyways... bugs found and reported... hope tmr there will be a better gameplay... =)

alas! part one of attachment is over.... wet feet project... allready submitted... although i still not very familiar with the codes itself.... but instead abit more familiar with xcode....

gahhh... what's those stuff they put in lamps? dad asked me to wash some lamp cover.... in the middle was some liquid thingy... water... don't some off... dishwashing detergent.... not much help... floor soap.... helped a lil... but MY HANDS BECAME SUPER STICKY!!!! ahhh... washed my hands with dishwashing detergent and Kirei-Kirei still got some parts sticky.... and it also itches.... what's that stupid thing they use in lamps? grrrrr.....

ok... last night... suddenly thought of you... not sure why... suddenly missing you out of the blue...

today... work... not bad... had some progress... learnt something new... haha... using strings in objective-c... boss wasn't around most of the time... must be really busy guy... anyways... about one and half more weeks to complete the project... and I do not wish to crunch unless necessary...

anyways... does anyone even plan to crunch overnight in advance? just sounds weird to me that anyone would do that... I always thought that if you cannot finish the task for the day... then you would crunch... but planning to crunch in advance to me still sounds abit off... haha...

already missing my milk tea in the office... and... maybe... I shall start eating more ham ji peng... haha... cos this colleague of mine... for some reason, keeps saying later ham ji peng... i dun understand... haha... so maybe just eat it la hor...

FYPJ madness is finally over! whee.... =)

FYPJ has been a real emotional roller-coaster... from the fun times... to the times where one just feels like he's hit rock bottom low...

Slept at 5 plus in the morning and woke at 6 plus in the morning... doing documentations... and finally, at 1, it was all over.
How did it go... hard to say... not much comments besides the questions asked on how we did some of the stuff...

Watching Night at the Museum 2 later tonight...

the mad rush for my part has kinda just ended...

...waking up at 6:30 AM TODAY... and I'm still awake at 4:20 AM...

what was I doing? Documentations... well... at least that was some solid documentation done... 40+ pages... whee... good job team! after which, do PowerPoint presentation slides... 60+ slides... XD madness... some serious stuff going on... haha

whatever it is... the code is still being cleaned up and fixed by my dear teammate, Mark... our main debugger...although we did try to help him out with the parts we could solve... really, thanks a mil bro... =]

Love my team, joking and all...somehow we really clicked well... that we got a warning in the first week of project even... haha...but those were the fun times... all the joy and laughter... to think that it is ending so soon... haiz...

Anyways, I better get going... catch some rest if I can... and... pray for a smooth presentation tomorrow, or today rather... jajaja... =3

would very much like to have both... but... I think... for now... friendship should be a wise choice... even though there might not be a chance of love again with you... cos' if I can't provide for me... how would I even care and provide for someone I love right... so... I think I shall stick to friendship...

then again... I also do not know why I am posting about this... somehow... the thought just came... talk about randomness...

anyways... today... been doing documentation... don't know why I managed to write a good 3 to 4 pages on one feature I did... and I did not even include any code references... took me almost the whole day doing it... managed to update the gantt chart... and prepare a format for the report... comes with the gantt chart... after which... I'm too tired to think of what next to document...

saving up my work now... already emailed out to teammates earlier for them to start if they could... and... hopefully within a day, tomorrow, everything will be settled once and for all... =)

bowling postponed to tomorrow...

now working OverTime at home... was pretty surprised to find my job completed this afternoon... so... helping my dear teammates clear some bugs/get the game up... for now, adding in controller inputs for pause screen...

making a game... isn't as easy as playing it... lots of time and effort gone into making a game up to players' (or in my case client's) expectations... wonder if the critics even know a thing or two about game development...

...less than 48 hours to produce a prototype... gogogo!!! =X

ok... slept pretty well last night... besides a few dreams I couldn't remember...

went to school pretty awake... reached like 8:20... when it supposed to start at 9... left bag in lab... went for breakfast alone... then came one of my coursemates... chat a bit over breakfast... went back to lab about 5-10 mins before 9... signed attendance and started work...

work was not bad... managed to solve my collision detection problem pretty easily...

after lunch... started trying out how to do a pause menu... and kinda succeeded... so good... only problem now... cannot go back to the friggin' main menu for some reason... still have to problem solve...

outing tmr... bowling again probably... =)

especially when I got the runny nose... pretty irritating... had to go to the washroom pretty frequently... cos... no tissue!!! and I forgot to buy tissue when I went for lunch... stupid STM... I ended up buying a mouse at an IT bazaar held by the business students after lunch instead... later in the afternoon... decided that I've had it with going to the washroom... and took my free supply of tissue... which kinda lasted till after my progress update... which I didn't have much to update... cos I was trying to catch my nose... XD I might just go to bed earlier tonight or sth...

Early morning today... woke up... sent mum to her training with my dad...

Went home to take rest of family to church... Peranakan service lol... cos is like the only church service that suits our time schedule for today...

After the church service, went to Paramount hotel for lunch... By the church side de... i think one of the church members sponsored or something la... lunch was good... tried experimenting combinations of tea with milk and ice cream with my sister... LoL... thank God for not having any tummy aches... haha... but the milk tea tasted good with a mix of vanilla and chocolate ice cream... lol... couldn't really tell if it was chocolate or milk tea in the end though... but was pretty nice... haha...

After lunch... sent sister for her ballet class...

Then we went searching for a tyre shop to plug a leak in my dad's car front right tyre... at that time when the person was plugging the front right tyre... i noticed the left side a little flat also... so I notified my dad... then when they checked, there was no signs of any hole... or any leak of that sort... check as in by rotating the wheel and looking... so since they couldn't find anything... we just fixed the front right tyre... then went to fetch my sister after her hour long ballet class... went to buy a pack of Spinach then headed for home...

Dropped off maid and siblings... went to queenstown for shoe shopping with my youngest bro... the other one was at home... playinng my laptop or making cream of spinach soup... which was pretty good for a first try actually... anyways... after shopping, bro and I each bought a pair of shoes... went back to the car... we had a flat tyre... front left side... We had a jack but no tools... mysteriously... our tools in the car was not there... by this time mum was already home from her training... so we called her to inform her and see if she could come down with the other car... then, a car came by and parked beside us... 3 malay people inside... so we approached them to ask if we could borrow the tools... and thank God they lent it to us... so we could finally change the tyre... We took the mobile number of the man so we could return his tools to him... folling which they went to do their shopping...

So I called mum to inform her that she needn't come since we borrowed the tools from the car next to us... thankfully she's still at home... so dad and I, we both managed to jack up the front of the car... and get the spare tyre out... and changed it...

Somehow... I feel that it was God's plan that we parked at that particular lot... which had slightly more space... and also, so happened that just a few carpark lots away... there was a washroom! so we could go wash our hands after the tyre change... how nice...

Anyways, after the change, we waited for the malay group to come back... and my bro and I we went to get a drink from McDonalds... when we returned, I saw my dad talking to the malay group... and even gave his namecard... so maybe it was God's plan again that maybe there could be some talk about work or something... haha...

Well... changing the tyre was fun la... I think second time change tyre le... lol... but it is not something you would wanna do on purpose... lol... replacing the tyre itself would cost quite alot bah... ><><><

Can say that this was my first ever steamboat dinner that I had outside... with friends instead of family...

I really had a GREAT time...

After school, went to Lavender MRT there to meet up with the fourone people...
First person I saw when I got there was Wayne... kinda emo-ing or sth, leaning on the wall...
Then I saw Wenjie and DL... walking past... so we... Wayne and I... decided to tail them to the meeting place... hehehe... That's how I found the rest of the fourone people...

From Lavender, we slowly found our way to Golden Mile Tower's basement for steamboat...

After dinner... we went to some place... with lights... to play some games before headin' back home... really enjoyed myself... although I kena have to eat a pack of twisties... LOL... and had to be the whacker in the modified whacko... LOL...

Really gonna miss the fun till next time we meet out... ><

Went for frist driving lesson today lol...

NO ACCIDENTS! Thank God... woots... din know that manual car was that hard to drive lol... oh wells... hope can learn fast and get license soon... LoL... Weni and Niu... wait a while longer bah... haha... not easy seh... haha....

Finished about 4 Subjects out of 30 in one lesson... so I guess is pretty okay... LOL....

Braces!!!

Not like I wasn't wearing any braces... but... I REMOVED THEM ALREADY!!!
Whee... although it feels kinda wierd luhhs... but I can finally enjoy food without having anything obstructing my "cutting path"... lol...

Had dental appointment yesterday afternoon... so like after school... rushed to Marina Square -and yes my dentist is there - for my dental appointment... when I was there... there was the usual waiting... before my turn to see the dentist... when I was inside... the dentist had a look around my mouth... thought for a moment before he said that he will remove my braces... removal was pretty okay... had to bite on some cotton thingy... to ease the feeling of the braces being blucked out one by one...

After the braces were removed... there was the polishing of teeth I think... all I know there was some drilling sound... slowly removing the adhesive that held my braces... whatever it was... my teeth felt awfully smooth after that.... then he went to take a mould of my teeth... for the making of my retainers... oh man... the thing that was used to make the mould... it felt sandy... tasted wierd... and I was choking on it... while waiting for it to solidify... cos' I usually breathe thru my mouth I think? but oh well... was tearing... in the dentist... LOL... cos of too much choking... haha... and when I feel sad... I dun tear.... =.=

Anyways... the mould was taken for both top and bottom... and... somehow... the bottom one wasn't good... so today I went back to take another mould for the lower jaw.... This time... was much better la... haha...

After that... went to Starhub outlet to extend phone contract and make use of the $100 voucher mailed by them... haha...

Okay... this past week has been crazy... lols... rushing to meet deadlines and stuff... but still surviving...

Tues, played UT3 in class... mini lan gaming session during lab... by order of our dear teacher... lols... reason... we have to do a PVP map by the next lesson for him...

Wed, progress update for game development module... french lesson was kinda different... 4 of us only... so kinda small class...

Thurs another progress update... with grades this time... for AI in game...

Yesterday, went to the networking module... was a new topic we were coverin' on network engines... and we got started on one... and was pretty confusing as the teacher explained more... so had a big headache figuring out what to do... and lab submission on MONDAY by 6pm... Zzz... No school still have to go back to submit stuff...

Now, just finished part 2 out of 4 i think... for the networking thingy... gonna slack off... and try parts 3 and 4 later... haha... c'mon we all need a short break from time to time... lol...

A new month has started...

*-Last fri... last day of Oct-*
Went to school as usual... teacher had lecture before practical during the lab lesson... explained the answer to the practical... that really helped alot.... thanks... haha... both in completing and undertanding... if you ever read this blog...

Applied for PDL in afternoon before going home to prepare for dinner at Holiday Inn Atrium Hotel... there was a D&D for the Gunung Sayang Association... and my dad kinda had tickets for a table... from someone at my grandmother's church.... so we all went... Had chinese food... and enjoyed the entertainment...

Did house work... like the laundry... and preparing some ingredients for Dinner.... before doing a 1000 piece puzzle... which was completed at 1:00 AM... haha... my sister helped... cos she loves doing jigsaw puzzles...

Woke up late today... had brunch... before sending bros to church for their cell group meeting... and then having lunch with my mum at LJS....

Strangely... that afternoon.. my cell leader was M.I.A... so... we... another cell friend and I... self declared that there was no cell meeting.... for after numerous attempts on calling our cell leader... we still couldn't contact him....

Dinner was at granparents' (mom's side) place... had a big crowd there... watched TV with them and stuff... had a great time...

Woke up at 11... washed up... then turned on laptop...

Shortly after... my teammate called up... she had classes today while I didn't... so... yeah... said an assignment was due today... and boy did she sound breathless... cos' most of the clique panicked upon finding out that the deadline was today... cos we all assumed it was tomorrow when we go for the module... oh well... so I had to take my drawings out and complete them asap...

While drawing, another of my teammate called... and kept asking me what to do... so... i told her to just start her drawing and see how later... In the end, we met in school at about 2pm... and completed what had to be completed... and submited everything before 2:30 pm... and then we went on our own ways again...

for me... I went to funan with dad... he had a meeting... so... while he had his meeting... went shopping around with my bro... LOL... didn't expect my dad's meeting to last that long... but oh well... haha... in the end we walked around for like 3 hours bah... looking at games... =.=

Dinner at home... grandma made Nasi Briyani... haha... not gonna give comments here... haha...

Went to school early as usual... got a cup of bubble tea to last me thru my first 3 hours before a short break till the next 3 hours till 6... lessons started at 12pm today... so yeah... haha... during the short break... had vegetarian food... haha... been quite a many years since I ate vegetarian food although I think I took vegetarian food yesterday too... anyways it was $2 only... for fried kuay teow with 3 dishes... pretty okay la... can fill the tummy can liao...

Class was more like the average class today... lecture for audio creation... then practical exercises... if in doubt call for help... LOL... but seriously... the teachers were really helpful... Thank you teachers... ^^ advanced game dev... started coding the FSM... managed to change states... tested using the command window with text output temporarily... (: it works...

went home... took my R/C car out for a drive... like 10-20 mins only... then went home for dinner... watched the chinese show on ch. 8... somehow... this episode was like very emotional for me... haha... oh well... then after that... went online to chat chat chat... and nice Weni became mean Weni... lol... nice in person mean online... haha... and Eugenia... pretty much the same whether in person or online... haha... Whee... today was kinda one of the better days...

French lesson comprised of a mini cooking lesson... especially when we were on the topic on buying the groceries... LOL... talked about spaghetti bolognaise... crêpes... lols... suddenly feel like trying to learn to cook some stuff... haha... not that i have never cooked anything before... but... just seems like fun la... especially when your teacher... who's a male... also knows how to cook...

I PASSED MY BASIC THEORY!!!!!!
haha... on the second try la... this time went in pretty well prepared... unlike the first time where I only read the book... probably had missed out some information... but this time... on top of reading... went for classes... practice... and even REVISION CLASS!!!! haha...
no wonder it felt like a piece of cake... cos I kinda "mastered" the questions... and the answers... wahahahaha...

Went to school today... alot of thoughts going through my mind...
was practically feeling down almost the whole day... didn't wanna call my closer friends to talk either... cause I didn't wanna disturb them... really was looking for someone to just talk to... even tried hinting to my friends at school... but they were more engrossed in their own gossips and stuff... so.... yeah....

I think by now most... if not all of us would have known about the recession that has affected the States... and Singapore is probably starting off only... was feeling pretty down today cause... was thinking how I could help cut some costs for the family... probably skip certain snacks or something... alter my lifestyle or something... cos we are kinda affected a little... in a way... not gonna state here...

Today I kinda skipped lunch... before lesson at 12pm... then at about 3 when lessons were over... only did I went to have lunch... Yong Tau Fu... at school Foodcourt... was about the cheapest and most filling food I could think of buying at school... was really hungry... so spent like $2.80 on lunch... without drinks... drank the soup only... haha...

On the way home... out of school to the train... was playing my mp3 from my mobile phone... and it was on the playlist where I had all my songs in it... after a few songs that I wanted to listen to... The song God Will Make A Way played... and I remembered the sermon just a few weeks back where pastor was talking about seeking God first and all these things will be added unto you... was really encouraged... and didn't feel too bad after that... thank God... ^^ I guess God really knows the matters of our heart... Also thank God for my parents and family who still love and care for us... (:

Okay... Yesterday... came back early from school... mum asked me to look for timeslot for Mama-Mia... the movie... Ended up we decided to go see Eagle Eye... Was a pretty good movie I thought... Alot of explosive action... although I felt that the starting part was kinda... err... dunno how to explain also... boring is also not the right word... Just not much action... haha... We caught the 7:40pm show at FilmGarde theatre at Leisure Park Kallang...

Today.. went to school early... for French lesson... and because I was early... teacher asked me to help him with some recording... so probably my voice may be heard on the e-textbook... it was just two parts only though... haha... first part was okay... but second part we did a few times... haha... cos' I just didn't sound French enough... Lol... after that had lecture... which ended early... and the same lecturer is the tutor for the next lab lesson... and he gave us 15 mins extra for eating... saw him eating too... hahaa... classes ended at 3...

After which, went to have lunch before looking for our new club advisor... Pretty cool guy... somehow he keeps joking about buying beer... haha... oh wells had fun meeting with him... after our meeting.... so happened that the F1 simulators were on... and some guests who tried it just moved on... so we asked if we could have a go at it... was pretty cool... haha... The cars were really powerful... like if you were to floor the accelerator... the car would spin if you were turning... so we had to be gentle on the accelerator... haha... learned it the hard way... through various crashes... A Blessed Sunday...

Well... this Sunday's routine was pretty much the same as every other sundays...

Sleep in a little... wash up... play game... get ready to head to church...

but something was different at church today... cell mates were all late... including cell leader... but I am sure they had their reasons... so... not angry... ended up sitting alone... as the seats I reserved for them were empty throughout the whole service... guess I chose a seat abit too front for them to come in late... XD

Something felt different during worship... somehow... felt more engrossed into it today... really enjoyed today's worship... Ailing and Shuting also appeared in church today... said hi to them before service... Sermon I felt was really good... Reminded me on how a Christian should be... A Servant... Just like what Jesus was...

Also, this verse which I read some time back... also was mentioned by the pastor... and it really was a reminder for me.... Mark 10:43-45... "...Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all.For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Was really blessed by this message... then had tribe meeting... after service... details not included here... haha...

Then went home to prepare to go for dinner with my grandparents at Changi Village... Changi Teochew Kitchen... haha... relative and some of his partners opened a store... so went to try the food there... Portions are standard I think... But kinda small... if sharing among a big group of people... Food taste... Was good... but could have been better I think... I liked the prawn omelette... think that was the best dish I had for tonight... ><

Left home 5 mins after noon for SSDC...
Wanted to catch the 1:05 pm theory lesson...
was drizzling when I reached Yio Chu Kang MRT Station...

Walked from MRT to the driving centre...
When I reached I was "drenched" in rain... or did presperation add to it as well... lol...
Went thru lesson 1... ended at 2:45 pm... next lesson started at 3:20 pm... in between had some hot milo at the canteen at the gound level of the driving centre... cos' I sat near someone who also attended the first lesson... we kinda started to chat... haha...
It's a guy... don't get any ideas... I AM NOT A GAY... lol... that was just a precautionary measure...
So we just chatted... about basic theory and all... being private candidate or enrolling with school... and kinda got a new aquaintance for my next lesson... haha...

Everything ended at about 5 pm... each lesson was 100mins... so... haha... learnt quite a lot of interesting stuff... and also went to book my theory test practice... ^^

Day 3

Went to school with my r/c car... haha...
French lesson was very fun... had same teacher as previous semester...
Did revisions... had a few laughs... and started new topic... Finding your way... haha... in french of course...

Immediately after that, had a lecture on AI in games... wonder if I can even survive this module... So many types of AI to implement... and we only covering one type in more detail... just hope it doesn't get too tough...

Then we had a lab lesson for Advanced Game Development Techniques...
We basically got our groups today... and started thinking of a theme for our games... each person to be doing a single level... and all must have a common theme... we were amongst the last few groups to explain our ideas to the tutor/lecturer... they did give some suggestions... which were helpful... but now... just have to consider carefully.. and firm up the idea for my level...

Had a cup of milk in the morning... lasted me till... 3pm... 6hrs total... was real hungry after that... ate Jap food from Koufu in school... Rice with Chicken Omelette set... and a water chestnut drink... after that... met with teacher... kinda like our last meeting... cos she leaving... anyways... that's why i brought my car... she wanted to have a look... and try it out... so... haha... we played with it... sliding around on the road... testing how far it could go before it goes out of range... and JUMPING OFF THE KERB... lol... the last one was by me... >< thought why not... since I flown the car off a road hump before... LOL... after that... we kinda split... ahah...

To Do List so far...
1. PLAY UT3... For research purposes... on Game Level Design...
2. e-Learning for French...2 pages in TB only...
3. Firm my game idea... and prepare a proposal soon... maybe next lab lesson...

Day 2

Day 2 wasn't that bad after all... lessons started at 12...
2h of lab and 1 hr of lecture... that's all...

In lab... 1st hour was lecture for that module... 2nd hour... we were installing Unreal Tournament 3 on to the computers for the teacher... LoL... cos we need it to WORK... haha... We did get some time to try out the game as only 2 people in the whole lab had played the game before...

Then was lecture...
Managed to remain alert during today's lecture thank god... Don't know why but the previous semester... lectures from this lecturer makes me sleepy... XD But I guess... new semester... fresh beginning...

After the lecture... HOME... to play... slack... and rest... while I still could... hahaha...

School - Day 1

First day of school today...

Lesson was pretty okay... so far... pray that it dun get too tough... XD

1 module for today only... supposedly a 4 hour lesson but we were released early... like 3 hours into lesson... haha... so... in the end... went to the shopping arcade @ moi school... and started shopping... lols... see if there's any new/interesting stuff to buy...or got any promotions... LOL...

After that... then headed to MRT to go home...

Near home alrd... my dad happened to come by... so... followed him to his office... lend him a hand... cos he was kinda busy... After that, went city hall to meet up with Yingling and her friend to pass Yingling her birthday gift... lols... ended up she also gave me a belated birthday present... hahaha... Thanks again to Yingling... haha... :)

Walked City Link a while... then went home for dinner... haha... Mom wasn't even back yet when I got home... anyways... Had Longtong for dinner... grandma's cooking... Not bad lor... home cooked food... haha... can save some money also... :)

Slept in a lil' today...
After shower was approx 10?

Then got a phonecall from my dad... Asked me to check with my grandma if her dentures was okay... In the end... she din even wear them... cos' it hurts when she puts them on... new dentures...

So I called up the dentist and made an appointment... the appointment was scheduled for 1245... cos kinda last min and no other time... and I am meeting my friend to go play pool at 1430... so we went down to the dentist... and thank god... after we arrived, the other patient inside just came out... so we didn't have to wait long... after that went in to adjust my grandma's dentures... after some time... she said it seems okay... so we left... however, shortly after... she said she was like scraping or biting her cheeks and t hurt... so we told her to go back to adjust again since we were near the dentist... this time my mum went in with her... while I headed to minitoons with my bro to have a look around...

After we were done... my friend called... then we changed the meeting place to City Hall finally... initially was Paya Lebar MRT... so... yeah... then changed to Bugis... cos' in between both our current locations... but in the end was City Hall... and we lunched at BK @ Raffles Shopping Centre... cos the foodcourt was closed... 'Nyways after lunch we headed over to Paya Lebar and then to Grandlink to play pool... Initially I won two rounds but after a while i think we kinda even out our wins... so... after that... we went out to look for a cab... to go from Grandlink to Geylang East Library... to meet my bro and his classmate who had finished their training at school... had two drinks there at the bubble tea shop where we met... the aunty also say long time never see me go there liao... hahaha.... anyways... after that... then headed home...

hmm... what did I do for chidlrens' day?

Spent the whole afternoon @ the Singapore Flyer...
was taking groups of kids from the exit of the flyer ride... to the activities area...
and No, I did not get to ride it just in case you were wondering...

Was pretty fun... all (or most) kids seem to have a common interest... haha...
BALLOONS!!!
It's like... when a balloon flies up... everyone would rush to go and see... lol...

There was one group... got two guys hyper-active one... Running and chasing one another around the area... I think one of them can be actor also lo... fall down le... wait until ppl go see... and when the boy tt he was chasing went to have a look, he immediately got up and chased him again... then after they stopped chasing one another... Daryl (the boy chasing the other boy)... turned to one helper and asked to be carried...(of course some stuff happened in between la...) then.. suddenly after he was put down... he turned to me to ask to be carried... LOL... I thought just carry him and put him down can le... ended up he stuck on me... lol... dowan go down.. if go down le he wan carry sommore... XD

In the end just put down my bag and piggy back him a while until his other friends arrived and they had to go down...

Was really fun... then we (the helpers) were also quite crazy la... after event also still want to jump and take the remaining balloons that have floated to the top of the tentage... lol... in the end all my balloons that I collected were given to other kids... LOL... so jump for balloons only to re distribute... XD

On the way home... cut thru GV Marina then walked to MRT via citylink... and saw Jade Seah at the cinema there... lols...

From MRT went to meet dad at Simei for dinner at some place... around Simei ITE thr la... then went home after that... ^^

Went to flyer for a briefing...

Along the way... had to walk on the F1 track as I walked from Esplanade.... LOL

Got two pics of the track... haha... without trucks on it... haha... cos like clearing up...

Then when I reached the flyer... @ the TAXI stand there were a lineup of sports cars... so cool lar... cos I was a lil' early for the briefing... I spent like 25 mins... taking photos... XD so crazy hor... Then after that I went to look for the briefing area... haha...

Aft briefing... went to Popeye's chicken... din knw wad to order... ended up with a drink... and started walking to City Hall MRT... when it started to pour suddenly... and I din have any umbrellas.... So ran over to Marina Square then headed to City Link... then went to Bugis... Wanted to go get myself a new laptop battery...

@ Bugis... suddenly heavy downpour also... from MRT was like rushing across road when got chance... and no trafic... tried to find ways tt won't tio rain... but in the end reached Sim Lim semi-drenched alrd... anyways was thr for like 2 solid hours... and I din take lunch either... so at the end of it... I got a battery at $120... cos my old one would last like 10 mins fully charged... >< after that went home for a good meal... haha...

Okay... was after lunch with dad's friend... so... 3 of us were in the car... was turning out of the highway heading for serangoon road...

Just along the highway a while earlier... the car's ABS light came up... and then we were all wondering what was wrong with it... as we continued driving along... some other warning lights and indicators appeared... then it went off... came up a few times... so after we exited the highway, we decided to stop along the side of the road and probably check the car... cos' my dad's friend said he smelt something burning... and I didn't detect the smell at all... but whatever... we stopped... looked around the car... checked the engine area... brakes and stuff... whatever we could see... we checked la... seemed fine... tried restarting the engine... and all the warning lights disappeared... but shortly after... it came back on... So, my dad's friend decided that he will just catch a cab back to his office and told us to better go get the car checked out...

We therefore left him at the side of the road and started setting off feeling bad for not being able to take him back to the office... cos we took him out to lunch... anyways... after driving off for a short while... he managed to catch a cab. So my dad and I were deciding where to go... go to Kia Service Centre at Alexandra Rd or go to AMK area where there's a workshop there also but not original Kia de la... In the end... we decided to head to Kia Service Centre... Along the way... the braking system of the car started to act up... like upon releasing the throttle, the car wil like auto apply brakes kinda feeling... on and off... speedometer also started to fail... everything was just starting to fail... even the RPM of the engine was dropping... So we were there in the car... praying that it will work till we could get to the service centre almost the whole time...

When we were in the vacinity of the service centre... the car was already jerking and stuff... but thank god we made it to the service reception area... where we handed the car over to the person there and describing what had happened... by that time... the lights on the car door were also like... dim... bright... dim... bright... like the car was dying already... got there abt 2 plus in the afternoon... and din get the car back till like 6... we also kinda did servicing of the car... cos the mileage also was about time for the regular servicing for the vehicle... ended up car was failing cos' battery was not charging while engine was running... the charger or alternater they call it... had spoilt... in the end.. we also changed the brake pads... for the front wheels... cos they were wearing off also...

Total cost of service... I think was like 1k plus... really made me realise how expensive it is to own a car... but anyways... thank god for the miracle... he really saw us through the difficult situation... :)

Spectacle Problem...

Whew... abt a month since I posted...

Lotsa stuff happened that I din feel like posting... haha... lazy me... oh well...

Didn't have my spectacles the whole afternoon... until I got home to get my spare glasses... so I was kinda half blinded... lols... ok... not that bad... still can see people coming in front of me... can discern if it is male, female or kid... haha... only thing... needed to get used to it for a while... cos initially I accidentally walked into a pretty young child whose height was like up to my thighs? XD felt real bad la...

Anyways I discovered my specs had some problems yesterday... while cleaning it... one of the legs felt wierd... and when I looked closer... the bottom joint of the left leg of my specs kinda broke where the screw was... and I have no clue how it broke... so this afternoon brought it to the spectacle shop... where I made all my spectacles at... so far... lol... yeah... and showed it to them...
They took it and said they will send it to the lab... I hope can repair... cos it is like 4 mths or less only since I got this pair of glasses... so I hope they can fix it up for free? haha...

After leaving the spectacle shop... went for lunch around the area... wasn't that great... but when you're hungry... anything goes I suppose... but definitely not eating people up... that would be cannibalism... XD

Yeah... so after lunch went to do some work... without my glasses... was kinda okay lar... cos not looking far too much... Just some data entry... after which I went home to get my eyesight back... haha...

Oh well... really appreciate having proper glasses to correct my not so bad eyesight... haha.... was horrible being unable to read things far away...XD

Happy Birthday Singapore

Whee... National Day today... sad still have to do work...
anyways... went out with dad for short while... to fetch my grandparents from their church... before taking them home for dinner...

And as today is national day... the pace seems to be slower... unlike other days where the roads are packed and people rushing from place to place... Fewer cars on the roads... and for some reason... maybe cos' was after the rain... but somehow... looking at the surroundings.... the buildings, the scenery around the highway... and listening to National Day songs played on 98.7FM... I still find Singapore a very nice place to live in... as in... I just feel like Singapore is a very beautiful place... maybe we should slow down the busy pace once in a while... XD

Anyways... Caught parts of NDP on TV... was not bad... and I felt like it was pretty short compared to previous years for some reason... Maybe cos it was interesting... haha... anyways... I liked the part where the planes made the heart shape in the sky.... SO COOL!!! cos I saw the heart shape in the sky while I was in the car... ^^

Happy Birthday for Me...

Well... my birthday has just come and gone...
and... I guess I am very happy to be a year older... don't know why myself...

Anyways... celebrated my birthday at home... had pizzas for dinner... and had ice cream cake from Swensens for my birthday cake... haha... yummy... a full kilogram of chocolate ice cream to eat...
Also... I was glad that my friends actually did remember my birthday... hahaha... not all... but there were quite a number of them that I lost count... lols... yeah... so thanks for that... hahaha...

And as for today... went to church... and... I actually enjoyed the worship alot... not that I didn't enjoy the other worship sessions... but... somehow... just felt very refreshed and energetic? Yeah... went to church all sleepy and stuff... (maybe cos of the glass of wine from last nite....) but... after worship... I felt more awake... and I didn't feel sleepy throughout the sermon at all... haha... then after service.. my dear cell group friends... they actualy planned something to celebrate my birthday... I got a treat from all of them (cell leader included) at Billy Bombers at Marina Square... really enjoyed the meal there... Especially the milkshake... it was just great...

After that... went from Marina Square to my grandparents place... cos' my family were there already when I finished my slightly early dinner... so went down there to meet them before heading home... to study for my French test tomorrow... in the end... a man's still gotta do what a man's gotta do.. so... after all the enjoyment... work has to be done... and I still haven't memorized the script for my French role play... LOLs...

Smallest French Class...

Today was the Pandemic Trial Run for DET students...

and so... everyone was told not to go to school and check their emails after 9...

and because of an email by our dear course coordinator regarding the Japanese elective students' concern, I got worried about French lesson this afternoon...

So, it was Sunday night, and I kinda frantically searched thru' my French textbook hoping to find my French Teacher's mobile phone number. Thankfully, I managed to locate his number from one of the exercises that he did with us... on numbers... and texted him to ask about today's lessons... and... in the end, I found out that he wasn't informed about the pandemic trial and he said that classes are on.

SO... this morning... checked email at 9... received 3 exercises to do... one was reading lecture slides... the other was to do a report on how I plan to port a game to nintendo ds... and the last one... also the stresssssssing one... was the mobile games programming one... where I was required to do a research document on iPhone 3G... and mind you... I don't recall learning that... So there i was... rushing that MGP exercise by 12... unfortunately... my French class starts at 12 also... so... by the time I had to leave for my french class... my MGP exercise was still incomplete... and I submitted it anyways... hoping that I can resubmit later in the afternoon... of course explaining my reason to the lecturer...

So after submission... I rushed down to school for French lesson... and I was the first student there... YAY! entered class same time as teacher did... yup... and I was hoping I was not the last too... thankfully... I had another classmate came in... and he was the last... to arrive... before we started lesson... so basically, we did revisions... as our French test is next week... anyways... by the end of the class... the number of students still remained as 2 students for the day... out of a total of 7 students... what happened to the rest? I'm sure they were enjoying at home... doing their exercises for the day... and hoping that our teacher would send them French exercises via email... haha...

Anyways... after lesson... rushed home to rush out the remaining of the exercises... and then complete an assignment that is due tomorrow... XD
Really very very busy life... seems like staying home is much more busier than havin to go to school everyday...

My Black Paint Marker...

Fri....
Used my black paint marker to do some work for Principles of Game Design Assignment....
After using for some time... the ink seemingly ran out... I simplay couldn't continue using it...
Then my classmate... Eugenia... tried to use it to continue some of the assignment... cos is grp work...
And...
The paint marker actually worked!!!!
After that, she returned it to me saying that I had to be gentle with it... so... I did...
and somehow... it didn't work again...

So.. there I was... wondering if the paint marker had a mind of its own... and liked my friend rather than me... lols...

But after a while... it worked again... kinda funny... but... it seems to have mood swings... haha...

The last weekend... didn't touch my homework at all....
Actually I had planned to do some assignments over the weekend... but...

Saturday
Afternoon, went to a relative's place to celebrate a baby's first month...
there, they catered food... so we ate there for our lunch... I think the dessert there was the best catered dish... >< I think it was called honeydew sago... haha...
after that, we went home cos' my bro has tuition at abt 2... and during that time... I was playing counter strike source... while parents rested... then at about 4, I followed my parents out, to take my grandparents (both... from maternal side)... then went over to my grandma's place to collect some of my more formal wear before headin' home...

Evening, we left home about 6 plus... went to Suntec for dinner around the fountain area... after walking around the fountain looking for food... we decided to eat at pepper lunch... since there were seats available and the queue wasn't that long... I had beef pepper rice... and I loved it... after that, we walked over to the esplanade to catch the Magicbox... It was a great show... started at 8 and ended around 1030 to 11... after that, we headed to Orchard Rd... where almost all the shops are closed alrd by then... but McDonalds was still open... so the hungry family members had their supper there... for me... I just took a cup of iced latte... I think i have this ability of sleeping still even after drinking coffee.... lol...

Sunday
Hmm... had LJS for lunch... as usual... bro spammed tartar sauce with his fish... (at home was mayo...) lols... anyways... after that... the rest of the afternoon was kinda for church... Normally Sundays I normally dedicate to church... haha... cos service is like 130pm... ends about 4-430pm... then I usually will have a meeting with my cell group... before going home... normally we end about 530pm... so... Dinner usually at my grandparents' (mum's side...) ^^

So... in the end... I din do my homework over the weekend.... LoLs.... (:

Well... some info on NYAA...
Its aim is to be a non-competitive programe that encourages and motivates young people to develop personal qualities of self-reliance, perseverance and sense of responsibility to themselves, society and the nation... It is basically a D.I.Y. Kit for youth development... and for the gold award... participants have to do it for a minimum of 18 months...

Why did I join?

Erm.... heard stuff about it... heard what the school is doing also... and thought that probably this ain't bad.. lols.. Anyways it's like own time own target kinda thing according to the one who shared about this to us... so... yup... it sounds really cool la...lols

Not feeling too well since yesterday...
Had a bad throat... runny nose... and maybe a lil' feverish...
Because of that, I guess I turned in earlier for the night...

This morning... I had two wierd dreams...
note... usually I don't get dreams while sleeping....
Maybe cos' my friend told me that she hopes she won't get any dreams...

Oh well... first dream...
Kinda funny... dreramt that I went out with a girl I knew from OGLs(under SIDM which my course is under too...just for those who dunno)

I dreamt that I went to a GM prefects meeting in a place that looks like a church or cathedral...
There were quite alot of people I know...all dressed in formal with bowties...

Then I was awakened by my mobile's sms tone...
It's my junior... asking me how I was... Lols...

Train Madness...

Thank God my train didn't have to stop along the way to get to school...

This morning... whilst on the way to school, I saw that the trains on the other direction were super packed... from Bishan station there was a train stuck there... then I counted another 3 more MRT trains stopped on the track before another one that was stuck at Ang Mo Kio station... It's a total of 5 trains between two stations!!!

After Ang Mo Kio station, I saw two more trains stopped on the track before another one that was stuck at Yio Chu Kang Station...

All the trains were packed... I wonder if it is the commuters causing all these stoppages or is there really a problem with the train system today... Having taken the train to school most of the time for the past one year plus... I don't recall having seen this kinda of situation before....

But really... it was that bad... Think many will be late due to that happening....

Well... last night was kinda cool...

Dad brought us to Ben and Jerry's at Dempsey Road... was a very nice place...

Kinda country like feel... and also feels like a home kind of setting... so.. yeah.. we were there... from like 10 plus at night... till about 1115 or so... each had their share of ice cream... I took the Vanilla and the Coffee ice cream... woots.... it was great... and my dear bro... lol... I can't remember how many scoops he had.. haha...

Well... there was a live performance kinda thing there by two Malay(...I think...) men... Certain that they are men... but they look like Malays... so... i think they should be Malays... each one equipped with a guitar, both of them sang quite well... ^^

Really had a great time last night... :)

It's been ages since I last posted....

Well... main reason... busy with schoolwork...

Had 4 assignments due this week... and I go to school for 4 days a week... well.. seems like 1 assignment a day... and... frankly speaking... was really not in the mood to do them at all...

Well... Had two that had to be submitted yesterday... same module... elective... French... haha... one was a written one... and the other was... spoken... so like had to prepare roughly what I wanted to say beforehand... is like describing myself mainly... and talk for at least a minute in French... *j'aime les automobiles!

Then another was due today... well I kinda stayed up late last night to do it... was really pressing for time... met with quite a number of problems which I could not understand why it came up... but solved them with friends' help... and i still dun really understand why it has to be done only that way... So much for computer graphics... What matters... is I met the deadline... understanding wise... gotta fiddle more... and maybe ask more questions...

Last but not the least... before term break starts... physics programming.... We had to do a Pool Game... using a physics engine... and seriously... not being a professional or hard core programmer... I could only do so much... like... get the 15 balls and the cue ball out... set the power... and press the key to fire it... also can set the angle... draw the table, with pockets (that at this point in time still cannot take in any ball...) and yup... basically these stuff... on top of that... we still have to differentiate the balls... first thing that comes to mind... color them... and I have absolutely no idea how to go about doing it... also... we have to keep track of the score... and player turn... wonder how I am gonna do those... Initially a cue stick was needed... but now thank god... it is optional... mainly is to make it look like a real pool game...

Still thinking if I should use different shaped balls or different sized balls to differentiate them... like a modified pool game... scoring wise... i still cannot fathom the idea of a scoring system for a game of pool... if you were to play by the normal rules that is...

Haiz... looks like I was (and probably am still...) suffering from "assignment overload syndrome"... Just need some time-out... not the chocolate bars... haha... Well... just hope i can get thru this semester without having to get white hair... LoL...

*assignment overload syndrome: Symptoms include feeling very sian, no mood to do any work, and also fatigue. Treatment, still under research.... Lols... made this up... so... if there really is such a thing ( i dunno... )... do let me know... hahaha...

Ever had a crush on someone before?
I'm sure we all do... or at least most of us...

But... just thinking aloud...
Why would people wanna go out with the person he likes?

I am refering to relationships during secondary school...

I just feel like it might be too early sometimes...
and yet sometimes...
it just feels like it could be a good experience to go out together for fun....

Then again... if there's a squabble over some matters... how then would it be fun?
Even breaking up does hurt right?
So just how much fun is there in starting a relationship?

Alot of people have said that relationships during secondary school age dun really last...
I also wanna ask how true that is... but anyways... these matters can be very complicating....

Well... what my thoughts are on this... maybe it's not so important that a guy really likes a girl initially...
Maybe, it is more important to know that a girl likes you alot (if you're a guy...) and you learn to love the girl...
Of course... most ideal is both parties like one another... But... it is rare....

Havin' a relationship can be a pretty scary thing... and at times confusing also...

I personally do not encourage early relationships...
Reason being that most people don't really know what they want...
and probably may end up in a breakup.... which hurts...

Mayday! Mayday! I am in trouble...

Well not exactly for my case... haha... just that I spent most of yesterday away from home... It was kinda funny that people were labouring on labour day, e.g. polishing cars, cleaning house, etc... lols... and that includes moi.

Well... it all started in the morning when my sister wanted to go for a jog... so the whole family went out... to the stadium... well, for me... I did not wanna jog... so I just stood at the side while they jogged... After that, we went to McDonalds for breakfast... was really hungry so I ate Hotcakes with sausage and a Big Breakfast (which was not very big... more like a DIY sausage McMuffin with scrambled eggs)...

From there, we sent my siblings home... and I tagged along with my parents and went to a golf course at Kranji... over there... we did a little putting and chipping practice as my dad chat with his friend... after that, we headed home... only to realise that we forgot to book a restaurant for dinner (was to celebrate granny's birthday)... so we went out again to book a restaurant... Following that, we went home... and so coincidentally, I met Grace (DMD) on the first floor of my block...

I went up, got a pail of water, and went down to help my dad clean the car for my mum to use today. When we were almost done, a neighbour drove into the carpark as well.. so we helped him to clean the outside of his car as well...

After the cleaning was done, we (including the neighbour) went out for a spin, to show him where he could get some rims for his car... then after that we took him back, and went home to take a shower... Almost immediately after taking a bath, my dad and I went out to buy a cake for my grandma and drop it off at the restaurant before bringing the whole family over to dine at the restaurant....

After a whole day's work, I just went home and fell asleep on my bed... ><

Reading the TODAY paper a few days back, I went through the list of movies that are currently screening in theatres. Guess they don't make movies like the old times anymore... 'cos what I saw were mostly M18 or NC16 rated shows... What happened to animated movies? Or movies that is good for the whole family?

I also read this article about a movie recently released in USA, Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It was a pretty disturbing read, in it, a person commented that he was going to have at least a scene of a nude man in the future movies he was going to make.

All these stuff set me wondering, what is becoming of the world we are living in today?
Stress levels at school and work are getting higher and everyone is living a fast paced life... People rush to work and some get caught in accidents, or younger children getting 'Panda eyes'...

Sometimes I really think hard whether it is even possible for someone to just take a breather, and slow down a little...
